DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Applications are invited for the newly created unestablished post of Director of Finance, for appointment with immediate effect. The Director of Finance will be responsible to the Treasurer for the University's central financial accounting, financial management and financial planning services. The University has an international reputation for the excellence of its teaching and research in forty-seven academic departments. Its annual turnover is nearly £300m and its Balance Sheet assets are in excess of £1000m. Applicants should be professionally qualified accountants with substantial senior management experience in the finance function. Graduate or equivalent, they should have a record of successful staff leadership and good inter-personal skills. Experience of the Higher Education sector would be an advantage.

The appointment will be for three years in the first instance at a salary equivalent or approximately equivalent to step 31 of the general scale of stipends for University officers.
