The Computer Laboratory will be celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the EDSAC 1 computer with a two day meeting on 15-16 April, including talks about EDSAC 1 and subsequent work in the Laboratory, historic exhibits, and demonstrations of current research. Further details will be announced later, in particular on the Laboratory's Web page at http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/.
Former members and associates of the Laboratory will be especially welcome, but, as admission will be by ticket only, those interested are asked to contact EDSAC 99 at the Computer Laboratory, New Museums Site, Pembroke Street, Cambridge, CB2 3QG (tel. 01223 334600, fax 01223 334678, e-mail edsac99@cl.cam.ac.uk), giving name, address, and note of connection with the Laboratory.
