The Faculty wishes to appoint to a five-year fixed-term post of Computer Associate as soon as possible. The Faculty Computer Associate will have oversight of and day-to-day responsibility for the Faculty's network, be responsible for the effective running of hardware and software applications, and provide help and assistance to other computer users in the Faculty. The Faculty Computer Associate will also be involved with the development of IT facilities within the Faculty and will liaise with relevant bodies in the University. The Faculty is predominantly Macintosh based but applicants should also have some familiarity with DOS, Windows, and NT systems. Applicants should have proven technical ability and relevant qualifications. An interest or background in the humanities or arts would be useful. Good interpersonal and communications skills are essential.
The salary, which is pensionable, will be on the scale of £18,275 - £23,651 a year.
