The Master and Fellows give notice of two Lady Margaret Lectures for the Michaelmas Term 1998.
Sir Robert May, FRS (Chief Scientific Adviser to the Government), will lecture on Why governments spend money on R&D in Science, Engineering, and Medicine at 5 p.m. on Thursday, 5 November 1998.
Professor Jeffrey W. Almond (Professor of Microbiology, University of Reading) will lecture on BSE and new variant CJD: What does the future hold? at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 25 November 1998.
Both Lectures will be in The Theatre, Christ's College.
