Domestic Research Studentships

The Studentships are open to UK/EC students who propose to undertake research as registered Graduate Students in any branch of study within the University. Students must be registered as PhD or prospective PhD candidates and must be nominated by their Faculty or Department. Applicants must have applied for a Humanities Research Board or UK Research Council award. The value of the awards will be around the prevailing HRB basic maintenance rate, with provision for University and College fees. Students ordinarily resident in the EC will be eligible for consideration for a fees-only award.

Applications must be made on the prescribed form which will be provided to the nominated students by their Faculty or Department. The closing date is 1 May 1999 for awards to be taken up in October 1999.
