The Royal College of Surgeons of England

MACLOGHLIN AND MORRIS SCHOLARSHIP

The Scholarship is endowed to assist medical students throughout their time at medical school. A Scholarship may be tenable for five years or such longer period as may be agreed with the Scholar. The current value of the Scholarship is £500 a year.

Candidates must be studying for either the United Examining Board Licence of the Society of Apothecaries, the Royal College of Physicians of London and of The Royal College of Surgeons of England, or a first degree in medicine at a medical faculty of a university in the United Kingdom recognised by the College, and be in need of financial assistance to undertake or continue their studies.

Preference may be given to applicants who are under thirty, born in Britain and are the children of medical practitioners.

One Scholarship will be awarded annually on the basis of a personal interview. The closing date for receipt of applications is 27 February 1999. Application forms are available from the Secretary's Office, The Royal College of Surgeons of England, 35-43 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, WC2A 3PN.
