Exhibition in the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology
TORRES STRAIT ISLANDERS
An exhibition to mark the centenary of the 1898 Cambridge Anthropological Expedition will be on view in the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology from 2 July. The purpose of the exhibition is to review the 1898 expedition and its legacies, while presenting the strength and richness of Torres Island culture, past and present. The exhibition aims to develop a deeper understanding of the cross-cultural and historical complexities involved in the relationship between Cambridge and the Torres Strait.
Admission is free. Opening hours are as follows:
