COLLEGE LECTURER IN ENGLISH
Clare College wishes to appoint a College Lecturer and Fellow in English from 1 October 1998 for a term of three years. The post involves undergraduate teaching in the field of English Literature, as represented by the Cambridge course, for up to twelve hours a week, the direction of studies, participation in interviews, and related duties. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain close connections with the Faculty of English and to show continuing commitment to research.
The stipend is on the University Assistant Lecturer scale, £16,366 to £21,436 a year, for six hours a week of College teaching. Additional hours are paid at the usual supervision rates, and there is a separate payment for direction of studies.
