The following appointments, reappointments, and grant of title have been made:

Appointments

Assistant Director of Research

Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Miss H. E. Mason, M.A., ED, B.Sc., Ph.D., London, appointed from 1 October 1997 for five years.

Computer Officer

Computing Service. Mr G. Foster, B.Sc., Memorial University of Newfoundland, M.Sc., East Anglia, appointed Computer Officer, Grade I, from 16 March 1998 for five years.

Clinical Medicine. Dr D. S. Appleton, EM, Mr H. M. Sherriff, and Mr J. Wallwork, JN, reappointed from 1 February 1998 for five years. Mr J. Keast-Butler, T, and Dr M. C. Petch, JN, reappointed from 1 April 1998 for five years. Dr C. W. Glazebrook reappointed from 1 May 1998 for five years. Dr C. A. Carne reappointed from 1 August 1998 for five years.

Grant of title

Clinical Medicine. Ms E. P. Nacheva, M.D., University of Sofia, Bulgaria, Ph.D., Medical Academy of Sofia, Bulgaria, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 December 1997 for two years.
