Regulations for Examinations: Notice by the General Board

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

Social and Political Sciences Tripos

The regulations for the Social and Political Sciences Tripos (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 390) have been amended as set out below. The purpose of the amendments is to widen the range of papers that may be offered as 'core' papers by two-year candidates. The regulations have been amended, with effect from 1 October 1998, as follows:

Regulation 14.

 By amending sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) so as to read:

(a) two papers chosen from among Papers 2-5, 8, and 9, including at least one of Papers 2, 3, and 4;
(b) either (i) four further papers chosen from Papers 5-27,
or (ii) three further papers chosen from Papers 5-27 and a dissertation, as prescribed in Regulation 15;
