Lauterpacht Research Centre for International Law

The Centre has the following vacancies:

Publications Editor. A graduate in law, with an advanced degree in law and some experience in legal practice, is sought to manage and in part edit and contribute to the Centre's publications. Applicants should have high-level experience in research, writing and editing legal texts, and managing a web-site. The ability to speak a second language, preferably Japanese, would be an advantage. This position is part funded by the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.

Researcher. A graduate in law, with an advanced degree in law, is sought to assist Professor James Crawford, Whewell Professor of International Law, in a project on the law of State responsibility. The project is partly associated with the current work of the International Law Commission on the subject. Applicants should have high-level experience in research in international law, should be fluent in English, and should be able to work in at least one other language. This position is funded by the Leverhulme Trust.

These are full-time posts based at the Centre, with funding available for three years. Salary is on the University's scale for Unestablished Research Assistants/Associates (within the range £15,159 to £21,016 a year, with the opportunity to join the University's pension scheme).
