RESEARCH ASSISTANT (FULL- OR PART-TIME)

Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant in the Microsimulation Unit to work on an ESRC-funded project entitled 'Data Enhancements to Improve the Scope and Reliability of Microsimulation Models'. This will experiment with techniques for merging information from the Family Expenditure Survey and the Family Resources Survey. The post would suit a social science graduate with skills in quantitative methods. Experience in the use of micro-data as well as in data analysis packages, such as SAS or SPSS, are requirements for this post. The appointment will be for nine months, to begin as soon as possible, and may be made on a part-time basis, in which case the duration could be longer. The full-time pensionable salary for a Research Assistant is £15,159 a year rising by two increments to £16,927.
