The Vice-Chancellor invites those qualified under the regulations for Discussions (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 112) to attend in the Senate-House on Tuesday, 12 May, at 2 p.m., for the discussion of
1. The Report, dated 27 April 1998, of the Council on the structure of academic offices in the University, promotions procedures, and related matters (p. 575).
2. A topic of concern to the University: the failure of the Council to agree on behalf of the Regent House the settlement negotiated with Dr G. R. Evans (see the Report of the Council on the structure of academic offices in the University, promotions procedures, and related matters (p. 575)).
3. The Report, dated 22 April 1998, of the General Board on the establishment of a Unilever Professorship of Molecular Sciences Informatics (p. 579).
