Historical Society

The Cambridge Historical Society are holding a one-day meeting under the title Natural Philosophy and magic in the Scientific Revolution, on Saturday, 2 May, in the Lloyd Room, Christ's College.

The programme is as follows:

1.45 p.m. Sachiko Kusukawa: Planetary powers: astrology and astronomy in early modern calendars
3.00 p.m. Tea
3.15 p.m. Simon Schaffer: Natural magic and Newtonian Natural Philosophy
