TEMPORARY LECTURESHIP IN ENGLISH

Applications are invited from men and women for appointment to a Temporary Lectureship in English from 1 October 1998 for one year. Consideration will be given to candidates with interests in teaching and research in any field or period of English Literature from the Middle Ages to the present day. The stipend, determined according to age and qualifications, will be on a scale comparable with that for University Lecturers.

Application should be made to the Senior Tutor, Trinity College, Cambridge, CB2 1TQ (from whom further particulars may be obtained), not later than 30 April 1998, together with a statement of qualifications, publications, teaching experience, a brief description of writing (not more than 40,000 words) that candidates would wish to submit if invited, and the names of not more than three referees. Candidates should ask their referees to write direct to the Senior Tutor by the closing date.
