The Vice-Chancellor announces that he has received the following nomination, in accordance with Statute A, VII, 3, for election to the Board of Scrutiny in class (c)(ii), and that it has been certified to him that the candidate has consented to be so nominated:
Dr S. E. Lintott, of Downing College, nominated by Professor D. A. King, DOW, and the Revd E. J. Clark-King, SID.
No other candidate having been nominated, the Vice-Chancellor declares that Dr Lintott is elected, with immediate effect, to serve as a member of the Board of Scrutiny until 30 September 1999, and that the election previously announced (Reporter, p. 270) will not now take place.
