Fiftieth Anniversary Commemoration to mark the occasion of the first admission of women to degrees in the Senate-House: Notice

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice, in accordance with Regulation 3 for Academical Dress (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 181), that Saturday, 4 July 1998, will be a 'scarlet day', and he requests that Doctors in the several Faculties wear their festal gowns on that day (see announcement, p. 242).

 He also requests that the University flag be flown that day from University buildings having flag poles.
