Annual Meetings of Faculties

Classics

The Chairman of the Faculty of Classics gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Thursday, 13 November 1997, in Room G19, Faculty of Classics, Sidgwick Avenue. The main business will be to elect two members of the Faculty Board in class (c), in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), to serve for four years from 1 January 1998.

 Nominations for these elections and notice of any other business for the meeting should reach the Secretary, Faculty of Classics, Sidgwick Avenue, not later than 6 November.

Clinical Medicine

The Chairman of the Faculty of Clinical Medicine gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, 11 November 1997 in the William Harvey Lecture Theatre in the Clinical School, Addenbrooke's Hospital, Hills Road. The business of the meeting will include a report by the Chairman, the receipt of the Annual Reports 1996-97 and the election of members of the Faculty Board of Clinical Medicine in class (c) in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), to fill four vacancies. In class (c), one will be filled to 31 December 2001 by a University officer in the Faculty who is not a Professor or Associate Lecturer; two others (arising from the completion of the terms of office of Dr T. Baglin and Dr A. J. Crisp) will be filled to 31 December 2001 by the holders of NHS appointments at Consultant level who are certified by the Faculty Board to be giving instruction on behalf of the University in subjects falling within the scope of the Faculty of Clinical Medicine; and one will be filled to 31 December 2000 by a junior doctor certified by the Faculty Board to be giving instruction on behalf of the University in subjects falling within the scope of the Faculty of Clinical Medicine.

 Nominations for these elections, signed by the proposer, who must be a member of the relevant constituency mentioned above, and by the nominee indicating willingness to serve if elected, and notice of any other business should be sent to the Secretary (Box 111), The Clinical School, Addenbrooke's Hospital, Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 2SP, to reach her not later than noon on Friday, 24 October 1997.

Philosophy

The Chairman of the Faculty of Philosophy gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, 24 November 1997, in Room 33, Raised Faculty Building, Sidgwick Avenue. The main business will be the election of one member of the Faculty Board in class (c), in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), to serve for four years from 1 January 1998.

 Nominations for this election and notice of any other business should reach the Secretary, Mr S. Carney, at the Philosophy Faculty Office, Room 13, Raised Faculty Building, Sidgwick Avenue, by Friday, 14 November 1997.
