Trinity Hall

RESEARCH STUDENTSHIPS

The Governing Body of Trinity Hall offers annually one or more Research Studentships reserved for men and women who are not already members of the College.

Candidates must be under twenty-five years of age on 1 December of the year in which they come into residence. In certain circumstances allowance may be made for time already spent in research. Candidates must be graduates of a University or other degree awarding institution in the United Kingdom (including Cambridge); if not graduates they should have graduated by August. Normally a first class degree from the University of origin will be required, and confirmation of election may be contingent upon satisfactory results in final degree examinations.

The value of a Studentship will be determined after considering a successful candidate's income from other Studentships or similar sources. It will be not less than £50 a year, nor more than the maximum S.E.R.C., British Academy or E.S.R.C. Studentships, together with certain approved fees.
