Darwin College

GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP IN ARTS (INCLUDING SOCIAL SCIENCES)

The College proposes to award one graduate scholarship in Arts (including Social Sciences) to a student of British nationality normally resident in the U.K. who has been accepted by the Board of Graduate Studies, University of Cambridge, to commence studies in October 1997, and has nominated Darwin College as the College of first preference. The scholarship is restricted to those applying for one-year courses and is not intended for those wishing to be registered for the Ph.D. The value of the scholarship will be in all respects equivalent to a British Academy Award.

Applicants should complete a scholarship application form, obtainable from the Dean, Darwin College, Cambridge, CB3 9EU (tel. 01223 335675), to whom all enquiries should be directed. A general graduate entry application should also have been made to the Board of Graduate Studies, 4 Mill Lane, Cambridge, CB2 1RZ, on CIGAS Form A, obtainable from the Board.

The scholarship may not be held in conjunction with any other major award. Applications must arrive by 11 August, and a decision will be made by 29 August 1998.
