The Board of Graduate Studies invite applications for Lundgren Research Awards which they propose to make in April 1998 and October 1998. One or more such Awards may be made at least once a year to persons who are registered as candidates for the Ph.D. Degree provided that they are engaged in research in a scientific subject (which term shall be taken to include mathematics) and are not ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom, and have completed four terms of research as registered Graduate Students of the University, provided that they have shown a high aptitude for research and a devotion to study, and are in need of financial assistance.
Applications must be sent to the Secretary of the Board of Graduate Studies, 4 Mill Lane, Cambridge, CB2 1RZ, so as to reach him not later than 1 March 1998 for consideration in April 1998, and not later than 1 September 1998, for consideration in October 1998. Forms of application may be obtained from the office of the Board of Graduate Studies.
