The Fukushima Accident and its Aftermath

Eight years on since the Fukushima Accident, our speakers will share their insights on the current situation in Fukushima, the lessons learned and the implications from the accident. Mr Naomi Hirose, Vice-Chairman of TEPCO (Fukushima Affairs) and Professor Gerry Thomas from Imperial College will be leading the talks in advance of a discussion session.

A special viewing of the individual elements of the coffin set of the ‘water pourer on the West of Thebes’, Pakepu. The coffins have recently been the focus of a detailed study into their construction and decoration. Each element will be laid out separately, with members of the research team on hand to answer questions.
