Chineke! Chamber Ensemble

Chineke!’s return is particularly special since it marks a rare concert in The Senate House. On stage, they exude energy and infectious enthusiasm. And their concerts always include at least one popular favourite as well as opening our eyes to the wonderful, yet neglected, music of black composers. The event will also include the world premiere of a new piece by Cambridge graduate Errollyn Wallen.

We are thrilled to welcome John Butt to conduct a program of sacred and secular music by Handel performed by the Cambridge University Chamber Choir and our own Collegium Musicum, led by Margaret Faultless, as well as members of both the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Experience Ensemble.

Join us to celebrate Debussy’s centenary, as the Cambridge University Orchestra, conducted by Sian Edwards, performs Debussy’s evocative classic La mer as well as quintessential French sounds from before and after Debussy’s life.

Humanist Happening: International Women's Education

The ‘Humanist Happenings’ are peaceful events featuring a short address along with a range of music and poetry all organised around a topical theme. They take place fortnightly on Sundays at 5.45pm in term time in the Fellows’ Drawing Room at Murray Edwards College. Entry is free, refreshments are provided, and everyone is welcome.
