MinJung Baek Piano Recital with Stephen Kovacevich&Brian O'Kane
Welcome to an evening of enchanting music at the 1st Cambridge International Piano Festival&Academy!
“There is a complete absence of anything other than total commitment to the spirit of the music and her playing is imaginative, vital and commanding.” —John Lill, Concert pianist

Acclaimed as an artist of unusual sensitivity and virtuosity, pianist MinJung Baek has concertised extensively throughout Europe, America and Asia at prestigious halls including Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre, Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Philharmonie in Berlin!
Rachmaninoff has always been important as her repertoire, so that she chose him as the composer for her debut recording, which has been streamed a million times on major streaming platforms to date. As the opening ceremony of the Cambridge international Piano Festivals and Academy, she opens tonight’s programme with 10 preludes, bravura works of the composer, each written to take advantage of the orchestral scope of a concert grand piano.
