After Independence: India, Pakistan and Bangladesh

Tue 18 November 2014

S3 seminar room

How did India, Pakistan and Bangladesh feature in commercial, governmental and ethnographic visual records made post Independence and what were the political agendas that influenced their representation? This seminar explores such questions and includes a selection of British, American, Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi visual records that are discussed in a comparative analysis with contemporary history text books.
