Madingley Hall open garden afternoon

Visit Madingley Hall Gardens, open to the public as part of the National Gardens Scheme. Come along between 2.30 and 5.30pm and enjoy a stroll in the 8-acre gardens, home-made teas at St Mary Magdalene Church and a plant stall courtesy of Plant Heritage Cambs Group.
Madingley Hall is a 16-century manor house near Cambridge, and home to the University's Institute of Continuing Education.
Features include a landscaped walled garden with hazel walk, alpine bed, medicinal border and rose pergola. There is also a meadow, topiary, mature trees and wide variety of hardy plants.
Admission is £4 for adults, while children get in free. Proceeds go to National Gardens Scheme charities.
