This day school gives an insight into prehistoric and Roman Britain in a single day! Suitable for Key Stage 2 history teachers needing a background in the archaeology of Britain or for those who would simply like an introduction to the subject, Dr Gilly Carr will highlight the most important sites, finds and interpretations from the Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age and Roman periods in Britain.
Have you ever wanted to learn about the secrets of prehistoric Britain? Who built Stonehenge and when it was built? Who made the mysterious and beautiful Iron Age ‘Celtic’ art and how should we interpret it? Why did the Romans come to Britain and what was their daily life like? This day school will furnish you with the tools to better understand the heritage of ancient Britain and share that learning with others.
