We are delighted to announce that Professor Judith Butler, Maxine Elliot
Professor of Comparative Literature, UC Berkeley, USA, will be joining the
University of Cambridge Centre for Gender Studies as the Diane Middlebrook
and Carl Djerassi Visiting Professor for the Michaelmas Term 2016.

Professor Butler will give The Diane Middlebrook and Carl Djerassi Visiting
Professorship Lecture on "Gender in translation: on the limits of
monolingualism" at Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgwick Site.
