Interamna Lirenas was a Roman town, founded in 312 BC as a bulwark against the Samnites. Abandoned at the end of Antiquity, over the last 5 years it has been the subject of an integrated archaeological project run by the Faculty of Classics in collaboration with the British School at Rome and the Italian Ministry of Culture. In this talk the speakers will discuss results from current fieldwork and present their own perspective - as member of staff and student respectively - about its broader significance. With Dr. Alessandro Launaro and George Lord.
