Lucy Cavendish Singers: Utopia
Sun 15 May 2016
Madingley Hall
Lucy Cavendish Singers
Director: Katharina Megli
With Ivan Garford - double bass.
The Singers are looking forward to performing once again in the stunning setting of Madingley Hall, the 16th Century country house just outside Cambridge.
The choir's programme will conjure up utopian visions with a seamless mix of classical, traditional and contemporary music, including works by Vaughan Williams, Willan, Busto and Smiley. The beautiful piece 'Stars' by Latvian composer Ešenvalds will be accompanied by the ethereal sound of water-tuned wine glasses.
Enjoy a walk in the lovely grounds surrounding the Hall before the concert - and join the Singers afterwards for a glass of wine!
Early booking is advised as these concerts generally sell out in advance. Tickets are on sale via our website. Please note that - due to the nature of the venue - latecomers cannot be admitted to this concert.
Cost: £14.00 (Students/children £7.50)
