Lucy Cavendish Singers: The Time of Gifts
Sun 19 May 2019
Storey’s Field Centre
Lucy Cavendish Singers
Director: Katharina Megli
With Lucy Bunce (harp), Ivan Garford (double bass) and Dave Niskin (guitar)
Join the Lucy Cavendish Singers for an uplifting hour of music in this exciting new performance venue on the edge of Cambridge. To include seasonal Medieval and Renaissance songs, traditional Spanish pieces as well as classical and contemporary works – featuring solos, small groups and full choir numbers. The Singers will be accompanied by their talented musicians on harp, double bass and guitar.
Storey's Field Centre is a brand new venue in the university's new development of Eddington, situated between Madingley Road and Huntingdon Road. The design of the state-of-the-art hall is based on the proportions of Cambridge's college chapels, giving it a stunning natural acoustic.
The building includes a large foyer, with bar – join the Singers for drinks after the concert when the bar will be open and we can spread out into the lovely outside seating area if fine.
PARKING: Limited on-street parking, free after 5pm on Sundays, is available in Eddington itself. Free parking is also available five to ten minutes’ walk away (depending on how fast you walk!) at Madingley Road Park and Ride.
TICKETS: £15, £7.50 (students/children) - Buy via the link below. Once booked tickets will be reserved for you and will be available for pick up at the venue on the day from 5.30pm. Tickets should also be available on the door. Please arrive in good time as we regret we cannot admit latecomers.
