For the first time ever, the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) will be teaming up with the Cambridge Literary Festival to hold an author event, writing workshops and other attractions for readers and writers at Madingley Hall.
This event on the weekend of 8/9 April will include an author talking about their new book, a literary dinner and a selection of writing seminars by ICE's creative writing tutors.
Saturday 8 April:
- Dr Sarah Burton: Making fiction truthful (2.30pm)
- Midge Gillies: The path to publication (2.30pm)
- Sue Teddern: Scene and heard (2.30pm)
- Lucy Hughes-Hallett: 'Peculiar Ground' book launch (4.30pm)
- Literary Dinner with Tom Holland, Elly Griffiths and Tim Hayward (6.30pm)
Sunday 9 April:
- Natasha Pulley: Writing a fantasy novel: myths and realities (2.30pm)
- Derek Niemann: Go wild with words (2.30pm)
- Rick Harvey: What is it really about? An introduction to theme (2.30pm)
Cost: £12 for each seminar / £50 for dinner
