School poetry anthologies: despised, adored, and often ignored

Wed 16 January 2019

Cambridge University Library

School poetry anthologies have been part of the classroom since the beginning of mass education in the 19th century but their story has not been told.

Rose Book Collecting Prize finalist Julie Blake will begin this task with a talk about school poetry anthologies old and new, illustrated with examples from the University Library’s Rare Books collection and her own one-penny collection.

Cost: Free
