New Music Concert: Composers Shiori Usui & George Crumb
Thu 28 June 2018
Kettle's Yard House and Gallery
This is a unique chance to hear George Crumb’s Celestial Mechanics – the final chapter of his famous Makrokosmos series. Featuring two pianists on one amplified piano, each movement is titled after the names of the stars and is inspired by “cosmic choreography”.
Alongside this will be a new piece by Shiori Usui for two pianists commissioned specially for the series in response to the Antony Gormley exhibition.
Booking is recommended. Tickets are £10.00 (£6.00 students).
