Professor Manuel Hassassian was in 2005 appointed by President Mahmoud Abbas as Palestinian General Delegate/Ambassador to the UK. A significant scholarly contributor to the field of political science, Professor Hassassian has toured numerous universities across the world, published hundreds of academic items, and served the Palestinian people as consultant to numerous international bodies, including UNESCO. He has also served as Executive Vice President of Bethlehem University for the past nine years. He was nominated for the Gleitzman Middle East Award for 1998/99, and awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Reims in 1996.
This event is co-hosted with the Cambridge University Arab Society.
