First Footsteps: the Colonisation of Land
Thu 16 March 2017
David Attenborough Building
Ken McNamara will talk about research he has done in Western Australia over many years on fossil tracks and traces made by the first animals to emerge from the sea. These extensive fossil trackways and burrows comprise a range of trace fossils attributed mainly to arthropods, but their exact identity remains enigmatic.
Cost: Non-members £2; reduced rates for members of CNHS, Anglia Ruskin Wildlife Society, Cambridge University Nature Society, students and those under 18.
