Gendered politics in the visual representation of South Asia

This lecture examines several visual records, from paintings, posters, to film excerpts and advertisements, and evaluates how gender politics and conflict are represented and representative of modern South Asian history. This session also includes a discussion of selected photographs from the Centre of South Asian Studies archive.
