Cross-border cooperation (CBC) directions and principles: fostering sustainable development for EU territories, projects and strategies

In the last few decades’ Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) has gained a greater relevance, mostly in European territories. Furthermore, this new era of common planning leads to the creation of several CBC projects and strategies.
Considering the dynamism, interactions and relationships revealed through this projects and strategies they influence several different fields.
Nevertheless, to achieve their purpose - a sustainable development and growth – the principles and directions of those projects should be often assessed and (re)-defined if its needed, avoiding negative impacts that may result from it.
Bearing in mind the multidisciplinary of the process, and considering the current European Panorama, all the involved thematic should be deeply studied, analyzed and assessed promoting to find new and better solutions for common issues.
Contextually, CBC projects and Strategies, as well as researches carried out on European territories, will be addressed and discussed.
