Exhibition: Isaac Milner and the Enlightenment of late Georgian Queens’
Mon 16 March 2015 - Fri 20 March 2015
Queens' College
The exhibition centres on Isaac Milner (1750–1820), one of the most influential and remarkable figures ever to have been Queens’ President, and the iconic books of Newtonian philosophy, politics and religion that he bequeathed to Queens’. It aims to show how his scientific interests assisted his agenda for ‘British Liberty in Church and State’ as an antidote to insurrection and the politics of revolution.
