The Big Draw - Connect Draw

Sat 7 October 2017

The Heong Gallery

'I can't draw.'

Yes, you can!

Join people from all walks of life in this fun drawing project.

Through drawing, it is possible to overcome barriers relating to status, stigma and stereotypes. All who partake in this project are given the same small squares of paper and simple drawing instructions. The aim is to connect people from all walks of life: art teachers and students; prison residents and staff; practising artists; and those who stand by ‘I can’t draw’ - unified in a shared creative purpose. Each drawing is granted equal worth, emphasising our shared humanity whilst also standing as a celebration of difference.

At the end of the day, all the drawings will be photographed and combined in an animation that will be available for all to see.

Come along and make your mark!
