The CBC Wellness Campaign: Cambridge Samaritans - Wellbeing in the Workplace

Grab a cuppa builder's and a sandwich and join us for a lunchtime talk. This year has been a difficult time for everyone; on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, we have seen lives saved through the dedicated care of clinical teams, while research institutes and world-leading life science companies have worked to help find solutions to what has been the biggest challenge the world has faced for generations. Sadly despite the best efforts of everyone, lives have been lost, and that can take its toll. The Samaritans have some strategies for helping you talk to someone who is having a difficult time – and also to help you talk if you’re finding things difficult yourself. You don’t have to be suicidal to speak to the Samaritans – the majority of their calls are from people who are struggling and just want to talk things through.

It’s really important that we can spot when someone is having a difficult time and to have the confidence to talk to them about it. It’s also important to know how to ask for help if we are struggling ourselves: please join us whether you are from the CBC or beyond for this CBC Wellness Campaign presentation from Cambridge Samaritans, who will be presenting the Samaritans Wellbeing Toolkit, part of the Samaritans' Wellbeing in the Workplace campaign.
