As one of the largest scientific endeavours in history, the SKA will eventually cover over a square kilometre (one million square metres) of collecting area, and will bring together a wealth of the world's finest scientists, engineers and policy makers to bring the project to fruition.
Cambridge is leading the 'Science Data Processor' and Dr Rosie Bolton is a project scientist in the consortium.
This event, being organised by Selwyn College, will take place at the Oxford & Cambridge Club, Pall Mall, London.
There will be a short drinks reception from 6.15pm, followed by the talk at 7.00pm
