Religious Studies: religion and health, sickness and salvation
Sun 25 January 2015
Institute of Continuing Education
What has religion to do with health? What should we make of miracles or the alleged power of prayer or meditation? How do religious beliefs and practices affect the experience of the sick? Is religious faith itself pathological? Dr Justin Meggitt will present a critical introduction to a lively and contentious subject in the study of religions, past and present.
Tea, coffee and a light sandwich lunch are included in the price.
