The justice and imperative on girls' education in Africa

Ann Cotton OBE is the Founder and Executive Director of Camfed International which is widely recognised and respected as an example of best practice in girls' education.

In this free public lecture, she will explore the history of girls' education in Africa over the past 20 years and describe the current status quo in the 5 countries in which Camfed is working. Ann will describe the Camfed Model that supports girls through primary and secondary education and onto securing livelihoods in the rural areas of Africa.

The event is part of the Madingley Lectures series of free public talks given by leading authorities in their fields. The lectures take place at Madingley Hall, home of the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE).
