Join Professor Chris Bishop, presenter of the 2008 Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, for a spectacular family talk packed with explosive demonstrations. Discover the difference between a low explosive and a high explosive, and see how are explosives used to save lives.

This is your chance to witness a detonation shock wave traveling at a speed of over two thousand meters per second.
