Public Open Evenings at the Institute of Astronomy

Institute of Astronomy
A researcher from the department will give a half-hour talk about Astronomy starting promptly at 7.15pm. This is then followed by a public observing session on the observatory lawns, using both historical and modern telescopes on site if (and only if!) the weather is clear.
All details of public observing - including the talk schedule - can be found at the website below.
If you wish to only attend the observing, you are welcome at the telescopes on the observatory lawns after 7.45pm.

Booking is only necessary for groups of over 12 people, and we can accommodate one such group per week.
