Visual anthropological perspectives on South Asian society
Tue 21 October 2014
S3 seminar room
While stereotypical illustrations of South Asian society permeate most of its commercial and official representations, amateur visual productions (films and photographs) often contribute towards an ethnographic representation of it. This seminar identifies several visual anthropological research methods able to further new perspectives on modern South Asian society.
