Tea & Talk at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology: Join curators, researchers and conservators at the museum on the first Saturday of the month for an informal behind- the-scenes talk about their work, followed by Tea and Fitzbillies’ famous Chelsea buns.
In the second of the new series, Atta Kwami and Pamela Clarkson will talk about making Relief Prints.
Atta Kwami is a Ghanaian painter, printmaker, independent art historian and curator. Kwami was a Visiting Fellow at the Cambridge/Africa Collaborative Research Programme, Art and Museums in Africa (2012/2013). He trained and taught in Kumasi, Ghana and the UK and has work in major collections including the National Museums of Ghana and Kenya and the V&A Museum, London. Pamela Clarkson is a professional artist and printmaker. Clarkson trained at the Royal College of Art, London, and University of Chile, Santiago Chile, and has taught at numerous art colleges as well as conducting workshops in Ghana.
Cost: £3 per talk, free to Friends of MAA.
