CU Brass Ensemble at the Painted Church

The Cambridge University Brass Ensemble (CUBE) returns to the Painted Church once again for a Sunday lunchtime recital in a varied programme for all.

Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula, piano

Thu 18 October 2018

Kettle's Yard House and Gallery

Brahms: Klavierstücke Op.119
Debussy: La Terrasse des audiences du clair de lune; Poisson d’or; Les collines d’Anacapri; Les sons et les parfums tournent dans l’air du soir (from Préludes and Images)
Schubert: Moments musicaux D780 Op.94 Janàcek: In the Mists

Not only is Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula a fine pianist with great sensitivity and imagination, he’s also a major talent in composition. When he plays Bach, Chopin and Schubert, he does it with a composer’s understanding. – Sir András Schiff

In 2016 Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula was invited by Sir András Schiff to give solo recitals at major venues in Europe and the USA as part of his Building Bridges concert series, supporting new talents. We are delighted to welcome him to Kettle’s Yard this year before he plays Wigmore Hall in September.

Cost: £18 (£5 full time students)
