Following the Museum’s successful bicentenary acquisition of Jean-Léon Gérôme’s Portrait of Claude-Armand Gérôme, the foremost expert on Gérôme and Musée d’Orsay’s Senior Curator for Sculpture, Edouard Papet, will contextualise this significant 19th century artist and his intimate works.
